Rhinoplasty Surgery Consultations Newport Beach

December 15th, 2008

The gravity of a decision to undergo rhinoplasty surgery, or what’s commonly referred to as the “nose job,” cannot be stressed enough, in the sense that the nose is a central focus of the face and its impact on the balance and harmony of the face is paramount.  For this reason, the most important decision begins with the choice of plastic surgeon.  Dr. Sanjay Grover of Newport Beach is a highly qualified, Board Certified surgeon whose surgical expertise and aesthetic ‘eye’ are unparalleled in the plastic surgery community.

Once you’ve chosen a surgeon, the process begins with a consultation, where you and your new surgeon will meet to discuss the various aspects of the surgery, beginning with your expectations.  Creating expectations that are realistic and attainable is the first job of any surgeon; for every surgical procedure is unique depending on the patients’ nasal structures.  And what is possible, ultimately, depends on the harmony and balance that the nose shape and size brings to the whole face.

Your surgeon will also examine the actual structure of your nose in the consultation, discerning how the nasal cartilage and bone can be re-shaped to achieve the desired goals, and in concert with your desires and expectations, the surgeon will design a surgical plan specific to you and your face.

Finally, the surgeon will discuss the logistics of the surgery – whether it’s performed in a hospital or an outpatient surgical facility – and whether local or general anesthesia is used, based usually on your patient history and the extensive nature of the surgery itself.

Next stop – surgery!
