Male Breast Reduction Newport Beach
The condition of gynecomastia or excessive volume in the male breast region can cause physical and psychological discomfort. Overly large nipples, which extend out from the body can also be an embarrassing factor associated with gynecomastia. Age, weight gain, and genetics can play a role in creating this condition. At The Center for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery Dr. Grover can reduce the excess volume and excess skin in the area, creating a small, low profile for the nipple and sexy tone and definition in the pectoral area.
The Procedure
Dr. Grover will make most likely make an incision in the areola area, or the armpit depending on the volume of tissue that needs to be removed. He will then remove excess fat and glandular tissue and tighten and delete redundant skin leaving a flat and toned pectoral region.
After Care
Dr Grover makes it a priority to be intrinsically involved in his patient’s after care. He monitors his patient’s healing and recovery at each post procedure office visit and maintains regular communication to ensure patient’s confidence and comfort.
Your recovery time will vary depending on the scope of the reduction. Usually light activity and a return to work can be resumed after 3-7 days. More strenuous activity will be possible after 2-3 weeks. A support garment will speed healing and reduce swelling as you recover. Some discomfort and bruising may occur, however, Dr. Grover and his professional staff will ensure that your pain is managed and you are supported throughout your healing process.
