Blepharoplasty Newport Beach
Rejuvenating the eyelids can reverse the effects of age, sun damage and other factors which may cause the skin in the eye area to lose elasticity. A blepharoplasty at The Center for Aesthetic and Plastic Surgery can eliminate drooping or sagging skin and redundant fat in the eye area leaving a toned, youthful appearance. Dr Grover has extensive oculoplastic training that makes the blepharoplasty a specialty procedure for him.
The Procedure
In a blepharoplasty loose skin of the upper and lower eyelids is removed along with fatty tissue, leaving no visible scars. Dr. Grover conceals the incision in the natural crease of the upper eyelid or on the lash line of the lower eyelid.
Depending on your consultation with Dr. Grover, eyelid surgery can be performed on the upper or lower eyelids or both, which will effect of the length of the procedure and the extent of the results. A blepharoplasty procedure may take anywhere from 1 to 3 hours and can be performed under local anesthesia with sedation, or general anesthesia in accordance with each patient’s needs.
The Recovery Process
At The Center for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery we make it a priority to support you during your recovery. Dr. Grover believes in ensuring that his patients feel informed and empowered about their after care. Most people can return to work after 2-3 days have passed. However, Dr. Grover recommends you wait at least 2 weeks before engaging in any strenuous activity.
After surgery applying lubricating ointment and cold compresses can reduce side effects like soreness, swelling, and bruising. And over the counter pain medication is effective at managing any discomfort. With a blepharoplasty at our Newport Beach or Beverly Hills office you can expect long lasting, gorgeous results with improvement for up to a year after surgery.
