All of these terms are used for marketing. Some prefer to use liposuction, liposculpture, microliposuction, liposelection etc. Medicine, like many other things, is also a business and plastic surgeons will use different terms to help ‘market’ their technique. Ultimately, the result will depend on the surgeon. There are different modalities that can assist a surgeon, such as: Power-assisted liposuction, ultrasonic liposuction, laser assisted ‘liposuction”, radio frequency etc.

Orange County Liposuction – Does Aspiration Affect Smart Lipo Results?It is my understanding that some surgeons in Europe will perform SmartLipo without post procedure aspiration. It is also my understanding that in the United States, the FDA clearance for SmartLipo includes that the procedure is followed by aspiration and not to be done alone. Many surgeons will perform liposuction of the inner thighs in a patient with adequate skin elasticity.

Is Orange County Liposuction for ankles and calves any less expensive?Consider liposuction for contouring of the calves and ankles. Liposuction of the calves and ankles can be achieved with Power Assisted Liposuction, Vaser or traditional hand assisted liposuction. Swelling will usually be a bit more severe in these areas.
