Abdominoplasty Newport Beach
Many people experience excess skin and fat around their abdomen. Pregnancy can be a major contributing factor in the breakdown of the internal corset of muscles that give a slim and shapely appearance. However weight fluctuations, genetics, age and gravity can all take their toll on this area of the body. With Dr. Grover a tummy tuck or abdominoplasty can reduce the bulges and excess skin in the abdominal area leaving a sleek, shapely figure.
The Procedure
When performing a complete abdominoplasty Dr. Grover will make two incisions, one hidden in the bikini area between the hips and another descending down from the belly button. He will then focus on removing redundant skin and tightening the interior muscles by moving them closer together and stitching them into place.
At The Center for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery a mini tummy tuck may be performed on patients whose excess skin or fat deposits are focused below the below the belly button. In this scenario only one incision will be necessary and it can be hidden beneath a bikini or underwear.
After Care
Dr Grover is intrinsically involved in his patient’s after care. He monitors his patient’s healing and recovery at each post procedure office visit and maintains regular communication to ensure patient confidence and comfort.
Your healing time will vary depending on the scope of your abdominoplasty, however most patients can return to work after about 2-4 weeks of recovery. Dr. Grover recommends that more strenuous activity be resumed after 4-6 weeks. At The Center for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery Dr. Grover and his professional staff work together to make sure you are supported at every step in the treatment process.
