Newport Beach Plastic Surgeon Q & A

Ask Doctor Grover – Newport Beach  Dual Pane Breast Implants Technique

I prefer to use a dual plane, partial retropectoral technique for most of my breast augmenation patients because, in my hands, I feel it offers the nicest, most natural results.  I feel it offers benefits of both the submuscular technique and subglandular technique.

Newport Beach Breast Implants Surgeon Dr. Sanjay Grover’s Prefers Dual Pane

I prefer to use either moderate-plus or high-profile silicone implants for a majority of my patients undergoing a breast lift. I feel these implants will help give a much nicer result and feel of the breasts compared with saline implants. I also prefer to put the implants partially under the muscle as opposed to entirely submuscular. I feel this helps provide a much more aesthetically pleasing result.

Ask Doctor Grover – Newport Beach Face Lift Specialist Weighs in on 1 Hour Face Lift

Wow!  A facelift in an hour.  I can’t do that.  Please let me know how someone can achieve a beautiful, long lasting, naturally looking facelift in one hour.  Most skilled plastic surgeons will take approximately 2 to 6 hours to perform a lower facelift and then add some more time if you are adding a brow lift and blepharoplasty.  Be careful!

Ask Doctor Grover – Orange County Board Certified Plastic Surgeon

When finding a plastic surgeon, I would recommend you search for one who is certified by The American Board of Plastic Surgeons.  You can find board-certified plastic surgeons in your community by searching www.plasticsurgery.org or www.surgery.org.  I am proud to be a member of The American College of Surgeons thus I will put FACS behind my name, however, you may find some surgeons who are not  plastic surgeons that are a member of The American College of Surgeons.  They may be certified in other specialties instead of plastic surgery.  It does get confusing.

Ask Doctor Grover – Orange County Botox Specialist Dr. Sanjay Grover – Dynamic Wrinkles

On average, most patients will notice that they will see a return of ‘dynamic’ wrinkles (those created from muscle contraction) by three months after injections of Botox.

Some patients do not want to see any movement or appearance of any wrinkles and may feel that Botox only lasts them 2-3 months, while other patients may say that their Botox lasted them 6-9 months, but upon examination you see a fair amount of movement.

In general, this is not dependent on age.  You may find someone in their late 20′s or early 30s with very animated wrinkles that are quite apparent with only little muscle contraction, while you may see a 60-year-old patient with few dynamic wrinkles.

Ask Doctor Grover – Orange County Breast Lift After Pregnancy

Many women need to have some form of a breast lift following childbirth and nursing.  A lift can be performed with a variety of techniques depending on the extent of excess skin and if a breast implant is going to be used.

Non-surgical Breast Lift Newport Beach

If you desire to have your breasts lifted, you should undergo a surgical breast lift. There are many different techniques offered for different patients by different surgeons.

You should seek a consultation with a board-certified plastic surgeon to evaluate your breasts and determine what is your best option.

There are some who have marketed breast lifts with ‘sutures’ of ‘Botox’, but this does not appear to be a valid option.

Orange County Breast Lift: How Long to Wait After Breastfeeding?

Thee months is a reasonable amount of time to wait for a breast lift following the cessation of nursing. This allows the breasts to ‘normalize’ and involute/atrophy to their final size. Additionally, it allows the body adequate time to normalize hormonally.

What is the Botox Breast Lift?  Ask Orange County Breast Lift Surgeon Dr. Sanjay Grover

Botox can be used to achieve a ‘chemical brow lift’. There are antagonistic muscles in the face/brow that work in balance to adjust the brow position. If one appropriately injects the opposing muscles in the correct positions, one can achieve a ‘brow lift’.

The frontalis muscle can be injected in the forehead, but not in the area directly above the outer aspect of the brow. This will allow the frontalis muscle to raise the brow if the muscle which pulls down the brow, the orbicularis, is injected or relaxed directly under the brow.
